A journey of building, connecting, and making technology useful.

I’m Mohamed Doumbia, a Malian entrepreneur, technical builder, AI educator, and Fulbright Scholar. My work connects public service, entrepreneurship, and the practical use of AI.

The person behind
the projects.

My background brings together communication, public service, entrepreneurship, and technology. I trained in marketing and communication, and my work has taken me from advising public institutions in Mali to building software and helping people use AI. In 2025, I was selected for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program as a scholar from Mali.

I served as Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Digital Economy, later as a Technical Advisor to the Presidency, and on the board of Mali’s universal-access fund agency, AGEFAU. I founded Cesiri Business Corp, led work on ANPE’s digital employment platform, and took on technical leadership at Map Action.

Alongside building, I teach. My training work has included journalists in Cameroon, public-sector investigators in Mali, and entrepreneurs learning to build with AI. I start with the context and the people who need a solution.

ImmersIA

Co-founder · AI education & community

Helping people across Africa understand AI, build practical tools, and use them responsibly. ImmersIA combines hands-on training, community learning, and public dialogue about AI.

I continue to conduct training as my availability allows, including work around build sprints and the Bamako Claude Community.

AgentsIA

Co-founder · CTO role

Contextual AI solutions for businesses, NGOs, and public institutions, spanning language models, agents, and workflow automation.

Our flagship project, CHECK IA, is a fact-checking platform designed for the cultural and linguistic realities of the Sahel. This is the product-building side of my AI work.

Map Action

Former CTO

AI and geospatial tools connecting community environmental reports with institutional action. I worked on model deployment, cloud architecture, and interfaces that helped institutions interpret the data.

UNICEF’s case study documents the platform and the training needed to make it useful in government workflows.

GEEZ

Technical co-founder · In development

A U.S. parking marketplace connecting drivers with unused spaces in driveways, private lots, and garages.

I’m working with two local partners to develop the product. The planned experience brings discovery, booking, host availability, and payments together around a familiar everyday problem.

Edusi

Technical lead & maintainer · Open source

An AI-powered, gamified learning platform for Nigerian children, starting with Yoruba and English. It brings together bilingual lessons, voice interactions, and WhatsApp learning flows to make English and technology concepts more accessible.

Our team built the first version in 24 hours at an MIT hackathon. I led the technical build across the app, AI features, and WhatsApp integration, then open-sourced the project for others to adapt.

The May 2026 open-source announcement drew 2,800+ views, 53 likes, and 9 reposts on X.

What I’m
building toward.

My focus now is helping individuals and organizations put AI to work: understanding their workflows, building useful tools, and helping people use them with confidence.

In the U.S.

Exploring a consulting business around practical AI adoption, alongside ventures such as GEEZ.

Across Africa

Continuing AI training and seeking partnerships that expand skills, access, and locally relevant solutions.

One example of this work: I led a plenary and practical workshop at an AI Innovation Conference hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia. Read about the Liberia sessions (opens in a new tab)

Good conversations are where
the next chapter starts.

I welcome conversations about practical AI, entrepreneurship, and partnerships connecting the U.S. and Africa.
